DISC technology is an innovation for myopia control which is developed by the research team led by Prof CH To in 2000. Through a series of animal study and clinical study showed that lenses with this technology can reduce the myopia progression around 60% in schoolchildren. This can highly reduce the development of high myopia population and risk of ocular diseases. This technology has been commercialised through PolyU academic-led start-up Vision Science and Technology Company Limited.
