Smart Campus

As an effort to solve the manpower shortage problem in campus, HKPC has developed this Artificial Intelligence (AI) computer vision solution, for schools to ease the workload of frontline staff and reduce the misdetection rate of abnormal behaviours . This invention helps improve the safety and work efficiency of both frontline staff and management staff of premises.

• This System helps frontline staff monitor and detect abnormal incidents in facilities. Over 95% of the four defined abnormal behaviours, such as aggregation, falling down, self-harming , and fighting, can be successfully detected.
• This innovation integrates the output from a motion recognition model (I3D) with random forest algorithm, which has been proven to enhance the overall detection accuracy by 20%.

• Operation and management of traditional campus are human-dependent. Staff members are required to monitor various types of equipment, such as surveillance cameras and alarms.This smart system helps detect abnormal incidents in the campus automatically, thereby reducing the workload of frontline staff.
• Traditional campus operation requires front-line staff to carry out patrols and conduct visual checks on campus. This Smart Campus Video Analytic Monitoring System enhances the efficiency of operation and management process in campus.
