Our inventors have designed and developed the CPII AI Meeting Assistant system using the state-of-the-art speech and language AI technologies. The system can recognize speakers’ voice in Cantonese, Mandarin or English in real time and support simultaneous machine translation (e.g., Cantonese to English). Based on the homegrown technologies such as Cantonese speech recognition, speaker diarization, sentiment analysis, keywords extraction, named entity recognition and so on, the system also conducts an AI-based speech and language analysis on the meeting recordings and provides the users with convenient, efficient, and intelligent meeting analytics.
We aim to overcome the communication obstacles arising in meetings due to language barriers through real-time speech recognition and translation, enhance productivity and streamline collaboration by providing a one-stop AI solution for storing, analyzing and retrieving of meeting recordings.
Centre for Perceptual and Interactive Intelligence was established by The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2020. Our Centre Director Professor Helen Meng and Principal Investigators have rich backgrounds in computer vision, multilingual speech and language technologies, natural language processing, and AI-enabled design automation.
